Halifax Bike Week is part of Nova Scotia Bike Week – a festival that celebrates cycling! Whether you are a top trickster, or still using training wheels, there will be something for you during Bike Week.
Bike Week is a ten day-long celebration of cycling in the Halifax Regional Municipality, from June 1-10, 2018. Activities include signature events like the Southwest Sunday Cycle, MEC Bike to School Day, and SWITCH, but also dozens of smaller community events, rides, workshops and safety campaigns throughout the municipality targeting cyclists of all ages and abilities. On average, 50 events take place over 10 days encouraging over 7,000 people in the region to take part in physical activity, learn about cycling, and – of course- have fun!
Our top picks? Bells in the Bay on Saturday, June 2nd or the bike-in movie at the Halifax Commons on the evening of Saturday June 9th. There are SO SO many events. Check this link for the schedule of events: https://www.halifax.ca/transportation/cycling-walking/bike-week/schedule-events
