If popcorn and films are more your speed, you are sure to find something at your local Cineplex. Keep an eye on the Park Lane Movie Theatre, they usually have unique indie films you won’t find at other locations.

Visit a spa or do some pampering at home: Whether you are looking for a day at a Nordic spa (we recommend Nature Folk Wellness), a simple facial and massage, or just a quiet moment together, Halifax is home to incredible, high-end spas and wellness centres. Simply pop on Google and take your pick! If you would rather stay in and DIY, grab a few face masks at your local drug store or whip up an all natural beauty concoction with ingredients you have in your pantry.

Learn something new together: “Paint Nights” and “Paint & Sips” were all the rage before Covid hit. While you may still be able to find the odd Paint Night event, there are plenty of paint-along options online. Try YouTube and Facebook to find one that is right for you- we’ve found this beginner acrylic painting tutorial online.
