Embrace local history and stroll back in time this summer at Memory Lane Heritage Village.

Memory Lane Heritage Village is an award-winning living history museum that depicts coastal life in rural Nova Scotia during the 1940s, including life during and after the Second World War. Their 2026 summer season runs from June 3rd to September 30th. Being less than an hour from Halifax in beautiful Lake Charlotte, a visit to Memory Lane is a great day trip adventure!

The Memory Lane experience is truly unforgettable. You will revisit the 1940s, when pink fridges and green washing machines were the height of modern convenience. Visit the Icehouse and experience the cool, damp sawdust and explore the tools and machinery. See free-range sheep and chickens, cuddle a kitten, or take a ride in their bright red 1948 International Pick-up truck!

Visitors should note that Memory Lane Heritage Village has free-roaming farm animals on-site and does not allow pets within the Village grounds.
