One of the best motivators for kids to learn about science is being given the opportunity to get hands-on experience. You can find this at Saturday Science Clubs at the University of Saskatchewan. Children will be engaged in science fun as they attend the weekly sessions. They will have fun, meet friends, be challenged to learn more, and will love telling you about the new activities. Youth from grade one and up will have hands-on science and engineering projects and activities every Saturday. Each session is three hours long and campers will work with friends their own age.
What to Expect at Saturday Science Clubs
Programs will include tours on campus, science activities and engineering projects. Each year, there is a new take-home project. Participants will be taught and encouraged by SCI-FI instructors.
At 9 a.m., Saturday club members check in at the main entrance of the Engineering building at the sign-in tables. SCI-FI instructors will lead their groups to their classrooms. Check-out will be in the same location at 12 p.m.
