For 2020, Carnaval del Sol is going virtual. From July 15 – August 8, 2020 experience Caranval desl Sol Across the Americas on YouTube and Facebook. You can virtually experience music, food, travel destinations, and more. Are you looking for an in-person experience? August 7-9 is when you can visit local restaurants to celebrate Latin American flavours and rhythms.

Here’s to a return to normal in 2021.Carnaval del Sol, the largest festival of it’s kind in the Pacific Northwest, brings a Latin America fiesta experience to downtown Vancouver! Come immerse yourself in numerous family-friendly activities: music, dance, visual art, sports, and culinary delights. Experience authentic Hispanic culture, food, arts and music! Admission is $2 per person (kids under 12 are free). Two-day SuperPass for $15 offers admittance to the Jose Cuervo Lounge Plaza, front-of-the-line access to the Driftwood Beer Plaza, festival souvenirs, discounts on select vendors, and more.
The Kids Plaza is always a big hit with families. The activities are geared towards kids aged 3 – 10 years. There will be toys, colouring books, retro video games & more.
2019’s celebration features more than 450 artists who will perform at the main stage and plazas. The festival’s theme is “Sharing our Indigenous and Afro-Latin American roots. Let’s shine together. Explore the amazing cuisine from Mexico, Caribbean Islands, Brazil, Spain, Colombia, Venezuela, El Salvador, and more.
