What does an art session at KoKo-Lu Art Studio look like? First, you’ll browse the carefully curated shelves to pick out the piece you want to paint. Parents can pre-select what items for kids to paint that fit within the budget, or you can let guests choose their own paint project. Kids especially love the cute characters and animals, with small pieces starting at just $7.50, while bigger, more detailed ceramics go up to $120. Paint a mug for hot cocoa, design a special unicorn figurine, or bring a whimsical piggy bank to life. Once guests have chosen their pieces, everyone gets a chance to select paint colours, starting with six options and adding more as needed. Have a little artist who changes their colour scheme mid-project? No problem! The amazing staff at KoKo-Lu Art Studio know that creativity takes all forms, and will swap out the paint colours for you as needed. Once your creation is complete, apply the glaze and then have it kiln-fired to perfection at the off-site workshop.

In addition to painting, KoKo-Lu Art Studio also offers make-your-own terrariums! Guests can choose their terrarium vase and the type of plant to go inside. Then, choose from a wide variety of rocks, gems, and special decor to add to the vase to make the design unique. Once it’s done, guests can take their terrarium home and enjoy it on the table or windowsill with minimal care needed.

Intense creative pursuits can work up an appetite, and what is a birthday party without snacks and cake?! Birthday parties can bring their own snacks, drinks, and birthday treats to serve during the party or as it wraps up. At the Harrison Hot Springs location, a small refrigerator is available for any cakes or cupcakes that need to stay cold throughout the party, but note that refrigeration is not available at the Coquitlam Centre location. Fortunately, with plenty of food options conveniently located in Coquitlam Centre, there’s ample opportunity to grab a cake or cupcakes nearby and have them delivered at the perfect time!
