Summertime, outdoors, and live music…the combo is like a peanut-butter and jam sandwich, they are meant to be together! In cities all across Metro Vancouver, outdoor summer concert series are offering up free (or nearly free) live performances throughout the summer. Mark your calendar, plan a picnic, and soak up the evening sun while listening to beautiful music.

Abbotsford:

Handpicked musical artists, performance stage acts, and artisan vendors, Jam in Jubilee can be described as fabulous community fun. Enjoy the FREE performances Thursday evenings throughout July.

Burnaby:

VSO at Deer Lake Park – I think the whole city waits in anticipation for this yearly event. The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra returns to Burnaby’s Deer Lake Park on July 16 for a FREE performance.

The City of Burnaby is hosting Summer Concerts across the city from June 30 – September 4. All of the live entertainment is family-friendly and FREE.

Coquitlam:

You are invited to visit Heritage Square to celebrate summer with their new Music in the Square concert series.

Langley:

Summer Festival Series happens almost every Thursday night, through July & August, in the Township of Langley. Admission is FREE, just bring something to sit on.

Maple Ridge:

The beloved Music on the Wharf concert series happens 4 times throughout the summer. Admission is by donation and the proceeds benefit the Maple Ridge Historic Society.

New Westminster:

Head to Westminster’s Queen’s Park every Thursday and Sunday through July and August for the Queen’s Park Concert Series. These FREE performances happen at 7pm on Thursdays and 2pm on Sundays.

Port Moody:

Come to Rocky Point Park for Summer Sundays! The FREE blues, soul, funk, R&B and reggae concerts on Sundays run throughout the summer! The concerts start at 2pm and everyone is welcome.

Surrey:

You are invited to enjoy Surrey’s Sounds of Summer Concert Series  The City of Surrey hosts FREE outdoor concerts at various parks around the city. The music style & performers is different for every show. Arrive early, explore the park, bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the music. Please note that most venues don’t permit pets.

Vancouver:

Back by popular demand! From August 9-12 & 16-18, 2022, Music on Main is thrilled to return to Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant Park to brighten up your summer evenings with FREE live music. With an overwhelming positive response from last year’s ten free pop-up events, they’re back with completely fresh music that is sure to capture the spirit of blissful summer days.
