The world is coming to Vancouver this summer, and the place to be is Wesbrook Village at UBC!

Thanks to UBC Properties Trust, Metro Vancouver families can catch the excitement of the games and cheer on their favourite teams without spending a fortune on gameday tickets. Soccer in the Square is a FREE all-ages community event that runs from June 11 to July 19 in Norman MacKenzie Square.

Pull up a chair and watch the excitement as the world’s best players go head-to-head on the large outdoor screen, and cheer on your favourite teams with other fans and community members. The venue holds 150 people, and entrance is on a first-come basis, so families should plan to arrive early to snag a spot to watch each match. Limited chairs will be available, so bring your own camp chairs and cozy picnic blankets to sprawl out with your crew. With both shady and sunny spots for all weather and plenty of nearby restaurants in case of inclement weather, it’s the perfect place to experience the thrill of the World Cup with friends and family. This space is also pet-friendly (but must be leashed), so your furry friends can join in on the excitement and thrilling game experience, too!
