Templeton Park & Pool has open fields surrounded by trees and sidewalks, making a very pleasant place to stroll. Colourful hand-painted tiles, created by community members, decorate the Templeton Pool building. The park offers a playground, soccer field, running track and indoor pool facility. Did you know that Templeton Park was named after William Templeton who was the Mayor of Vancouver from 1896-1897? A rather fascinating tidbit, Mr Templeton actually died on the night of his defeat in a bid for re-election.
The pool facilities include a slide, rope swing, sauna and whirlpool. Swimming lessons are offered for all ages and abilities, including courses in advanced aquatic leadership.
