Alberta Biodiversity Festival

When you visit the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo from September 12 – 14, 2025, the Alberta Biodiversity Festival is included with your daily admission or membership. The hands-on activities and games will inspire you to act for wildlife conservation. Learn about animal adaptations and habitats, check out biofacts from the Educational Resource Collection presented by ConocoPhillips Canada, and play conservation-based games.

Before you visit, be sure to download the Alberta Biodiversity Festival Activity Book. It will help you explore the natural regions of Alberta with its rich biodiversity and learn about conservation programs at the Zoo. The book is filled with fun activities and information to enhance your time outside in our beautiful province.

Finally, mark your calendars for September 20, 2025, so you can take part in the final wrap-up event at the Bow Habitat Station. This community celebration brings you more immersive exhibits, experiences, and events to connect you to Alberta’s unique biodiversity.
