The Calgary Walk to Remember is an annual walk in honour of babies gone too soon, lost to miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, neonatal death, and SIDS. This family-oriented event was established in 2013 to remember and honour the babies who died too soon and to provide support to grieving families. It was created by Adriana Navarrete (in memory of her son Thomas Daniel), with the help of Cathy Paterson (in memory of her son Callum Joseph) and Filomena Spaziani (in memory of her daughter Angelina). Today, the committee is formed by four parents who lost their angel babies.
The walk gives parents and families an occasion to remember and celebrate these lost children, openly and without judgement, together with other families who have also felt the depth of such a loss.
