Bid adieu to summer, and the sheep, at the Fort Saskatchewan Summer Send-Off and Sheep Leaving Parade! This free community event combines Alberta Day celebrations, historic traditions, and special activities for the City’s 150th anniversary.

Event Highlights

  • The Sheep Leaving Parade
    11:00 Am – 12:30 PM | Cheer on the famous flock as they parade through town on their way to pasture for the season—complete with photo opportunities, carrot feeding, and family fun.

  • Alberta Day Celebrations
    12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
    | Enjoy live music, children’s activities, inflatables, face painting, theatre performances, food trucks, blacksmith demonstrations, and more as the community comes together to celebrate Alberta’s birthday.

  • 150th Anniversary at the Fort Heritage Precinct
    Mark a major milestone for Fort Saskatchewan with historic demonstrations, cannon and musket firings, cultural performances, and special giveaways as part of the City’s sesquicentennial.
