Get ready to create, play, explore, and get a little messy this summer with The Makery Summer Camps! This S.T.E.A.M. based exploration centre in Sherwood Park offers children aged 5-12 the opportunity to capture their curiousity and ignite their imaginations with the perfect balance of structured programming and free choice play.
The Makery is comprised of four distinctive activity rooms filled with whimsy and wonder. The possibilities for exploration are endless as you make your way through the STEM Lab, Move Lab, Glow Lab, and Mess Lab.
Daily camp programming at The Makery will offer the chance to explore each Lab space and beyond! Outdoor play will be integrated into each camp day, offering campers the opportunity to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air while marveling further at the world around them. Each day is something new and exciting to explore with The Makery!
Activities and experiences that children can look forward to may include everything from slime making and robotics to 3-D printing and creative expression through process-based art. They will have fun playing on the magnet wall, unleashing their creativity with LEGO, discovering the art of DJing, and discovering the joys of sensory play. There will be science experiments, enchanting glow activities, fun-filled performances and a bit of competitive fun with gym games.
