Most swimming pools only operate only in good weather. Closures will be determined by temperature, extreme weather (stormy, heavy rain, lightning / thunder), and bookings so be sure to call or check the facility’s webpage before heading out.
City of Edmonton Outdoor Pools
City of Edmonton pools do not require a reservation this year, but are always highly recommended. Regular City of Edmonton 2025 admission prices apply, with FREE admission for children under 2.
DEAL ALERT For the best bang for your buck, The City of Edmonton’s Child and Youth Summer Pass offers unlimited access to rec centres, outdoor pools, gyms, and drop-in activities for just $25/month for ages 2–12 and $35/month for ages 13–17. Passes can be purchased in person or online from June 10 to August 31, 2025.

Alexandra Outdoor Pool

Features: A family pool with a main pool, dive tank, 3 changing rooms, diving board and small waterslides. It is set in beautiful Alexandra Park beside a fantastic splash park and playground to extend your day of fun in the sun.

Blackfalds
This one requires a bit more of a road-trip, but is totally worth the drive for the assortment of fun waterslides, a spray park, multiple pools and spray features.
Abbey Centre Outdoor Aquatic Centre

Features: Zero depth entry pool with beach features, spray park with tot slides, giant tipping buckets, a Jr. Olympic pool with diving board and a 10 foot rock wall, 26 person hot tub, and 2 three story water slides.
