Alberta Safety Council Summer Camps help kids acquire the skills and knowledge they need to grow into new roles. Whether you want to ensure they’re ready to cycle safely, stay home alone, or start babysitting, Alberta Safety Council has a camp or course to get them there. Camps are reasonably priced, offer a variety of dates and make learning fun!

 

Alberta Safety Council Summer Camps 2021:

Safety and Environment Camp: A 5 day camp for children aged 6 to 10 that will introduce topics of pedestrian, home, fire and playground safety, as well as explore ideas around recycling, conservation and endangered species.
Cost: $125
Dates: July 19-23, 2021; August 9-13, 2021

Alberta Safety Council Summer Camps

Pedal Pushers Bicycle Program: A 2 day (5 hour) camp for children aged 5 to 8 that will teach the basic fundamentals of cycling and traffic skills for safe riding. This course is for kids who can ride without training wheels.
Cost: $75
Dates: July 5 & 6, 2021 and July 26 & 27, 2021

Pedal Pushers Bicycle Camp: A 5 day (15 hour) camp for children aged 9 to 12 who would like to improve on their riding technique. This fun program includes on-road excursions lead by instructors.
Cost: $100
Dates: July 12-16, 2021 and August 16-20, 2021

Alberta Safety Council Summer Camps

Home Alone Program: This 1 day (3 hour) course will help kids aged 10 and up understand how to prevent problems, handle real-life situations, and be safe and responsible when home alone for short periods of time.
Cost: $50
Dates: June 17, 2021; July 08, 2021; July 29, 2021; August 19, 2021

Babysitting Course: This 1 day course helps young adults (aged 12+) learn to babysit with confidence. Included in the program are themes of prevention, assertiveness and resourcefulness, as well as basic safety and first aid.
Cost: $50
Dates: July 7, 2021; July 28, 2021; and August 25, 2021

Pedal Pushers in the Park: This 1 hour, bicycle safety program will be offered at local parks and community centers around the Edmonton area. Kids will learn various fun drills on their bicycle while practicing important safety techniques.
Cost: Pay-what-you-can (by donation)
