Looking for a summer experience that’s equal parts fun, educational, and inspiring? Arts + Heritage Camp in St. Albert offers children aged 8–13 a dynamic four-day journey through local history and artistic expression. Come discover some of the unique historic venues in St. Albert and learn how they helped shape the city and the community!

Arts + Heritage Camp is the perfect blend of arts, heritage, creativity, and learning. On August 12-15, 2025 campers will embark on a two-part daily adventure that immerses them in the stories and skills of St. Albert’s past and gives them the tools to express themselves creatively!

Arts + Heritage Camp St.Albert

Mornings – Discover the Roots of St. Albert

10:00 AM – 11:45 PM | Each day begins at the St. Albert’s beautiful Historic River Lots & Grain Elevators. Here, campers will:

  • Learn about gardening techniques of the past
  • Discover the workings of historic grain elevators
  • Explore Métis and Francophone heritage through hands-on activities and storytelling

11:45 AM to 12:45 PM | Campers will break for lunch and walk together (supervised) to St. Albert Place Visual Arts Studios. Campers should come prepared with a packed lunch and dressed to spend time outdoors.

Afternoons – Dive Into the World of Art

12:45 PM – 2:30 PM | After soaking in the past, campers will walk to the nearby Visual Art Studios in St. Albert Place for a creative afternoon led by experienced art instructors. Kids will experiment with:

  • Painting
  • Fibre Arts
  • Clay Sculpting
  • And other exciting art forms!

All supplies will be included, and it is the perfect opportunity to try something new in a supportive, fun environment.

Arts + Heritage Camp St.Albert

The Arts and Heritage Foundation of St. Albert (AHF) provides exceptional arts and heritage experiences in the community. The Foundation is an independent registered charity which operates the Art Gallery of St. Albert, Musée Héritage Museum, Little White School and St. Albert’s Historic River Lots + Grain Elevators for the public on behalf of the City of St. Albert.  AHF also operates the provincially owned Father Lacombe Chapel on behalf of the Government of Alberta.
