Looking for a summer experience thatās equal parts fun, educational, and inspiring? Arts + Heritage Camp in St. Albert offers children aged 8 to 13 a dynamic four-day journey through local history and artistic expression. Come discover some of the unique historic venues in St. Albert and learn how they helped shape the city and the community!
Arts + Heritage Camp is the perfect blend of arts, heritage, creativity, and learning. On August 18-21, 2026, campers will embark on a two-part daily adventure that immerses them in the stories and skills of St. Albertās past and gives them the tools to express themselves creatively!
Mornings – Discover the Roots of St. Albert
10:00 AM – 11:45 PM | Each day begins at St. Albertās beautiful Historic River Lots & Grain Elevators.Ā Here, campers will:
- Learn about gardening techniques of the past
- Discover the workings of historic grain elevators
- Explore MƩtis and Francophone heritage through hands-on activities and storytelling
11:45 AM to 12:45 PM | Campers will break for lunch and walk together (supervised) to St. Albert Place Visual Arts Studios. Campers should come prepared with a packed lunch and dressed for outdoor activities.
Afternoons – Dive Into the World of Art
12:45 PM – 2:30 PM | After soaking in the past, campers will walk to the nearby Visual Art Studios in St. Albert Place for a creative afternoon led by experienced art instructors. Kids will experiment with:
- Painting
- Fibre Arts
- Clay Sculpting
- And other exciting art forms!
All supplies will be included, and it is the perfect opportunity to try something new in a supportive, fun environment.

The Foundation is an independent registered charity which operates theĀ Art Gallery of St. Albert, MusĆ©e HĆ©ritage Museum, Little White SchoolĀ andĀ St. Albert’s Historic River Lots +Ā Grain ElevatorsĀ for the public on behalf of the City of St. Albert.Ā AHF also operates the provincially ownedĀ Father Lacombe ChapelĀ on behalf of the Government of Alberta.
