All ages and abilities are welcome on the field or court at Athlete Training Grounds Summer Camps! During this multi-sport camp, you don’t have to be a pro to enjoy learning and playing a wide variety of popular sports and games. Young athletes ages 6 to 14 can spend a week discovering their perfect fit when it comes to keeping engaged and active in sport. After all, you never know if you will like it unless you try it!
FUN is the ultimate goal during Athlete Training Grounds Camps. Campers will be introduced to to multiple sports in an encouraging and educational environment. Each day will consist of multiple activities like baseball, soccer, basketball, golf, frisbee, capture the flag, cross fit, cooperative games and more! Athletes will be divided into smaller groups according to skill level, and gain confidence as they try new sports and realize the transferability of their own techniques and skill between games.
Athlete Training Grounds Camps were created and are coached by two teachers with over 20 years of teaching experience combined. Both Sarah and Eric hold their National Coaching Certification in soccer along with other pertinent coaching and teaching certifications. Rounding out the team, Coach Bruno also brings a wealth of knowledge from both playing professional level soccer and coaching at a University level.
The program has been developed to introduce youth to multiple sports, while improving their cognitive understanding and overall physical literacy between activities. Through first hand experience and play, children of all ages will develop a positive relationship with physical activity and help grow their love for their favourite games!
