Get ready for a little Christmas magic in West Edmonton! Christmas at Callingwood returns to The MarketPlace at Callingwood on Sunday, December 6, 2026, with an afternoon of FREE festive fun for the whole family. Enjoy photos with Santa, horse-drawn hayrides, live carolers, maple taffy on snow, hot chocolate, and a brand-new Elf Academy!
Bundle up and head to the Callingwood Professional Centre for a wonderful afternoon of Christmas cheer. This annual holiday tradition is a great opportunity to make special memories while giving back to the community. Admission and activities are FREE, but families are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy or cash donation for Santas Anonymous to help spread a little extra holiday joy.
🎅 FREE Photos with Santa
Santa Claus is ready to hear your Christmas wishes! Visit him in his big green chair and have your holiday photos taken by Avonlea Photography. Each family will receive one FREE printed 5×7 photo card to take home, with additional prints available for purchase. Photos are available from 11 AM to 3 PM on a first-come, first-served basis. Enter through the breezeway door, where some extra festive fun awaits while you wait!
🎄New! Elf Academy
Little elves in training will love this year’s brand-new Elf Academy, hosted by Wolfe Automotive Group! Before meeting Santa, kids can discover their official elf name and create a personalized Elf Name Ornament to hang on the Christmas tree at home. On their way out, they’ll receive a North Pole Approved sticker and official elf certificate, plus the chance to snap a few more festive photos in a special photo area.
🐴 Horse-Drawn Hayrides
Climb aboard for a festive horse-drawn hayride with Lone Star Ranch! Cozy up under the blankets and enjoy a ride around the shopping centre, with wagons departing approximately every 10 minutes throughout the afternoon. Rides accommodate up to 25 people at a time and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Be sure to dress warmly! Hayrides are weather-dependent and will not operate in temperatures below −25°C. Any weather-related changes will be announced on the event website and Facebook by 9 AM on event day.

- Maple Taffy: Visit the Canadian Maple Shack and spin your own maple taffy on a stick from a bed of fresh snow.
- Hot Chocolate & Coffee: Warm up with a complimentary drink at the outdoor warming station.
- Candy Canes: Pick up a sweet holiday treat on your way out!
All activities and treats are FREE, while supplies last.

Christmas at Callingwood is proud to support Santas Anonymous! Families are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy or cash donation to help make the holidays brighter for children in need. Donations can be dropped off at the Santa entrance, with everything collected going directly to Santas Anonymous.
From visits with Santa and festive hayrides to sweet treats, holiday entertainment, and plenty of Christmas cheer, Christmas at Callingwood has something for the whole family to enjoy!
