Did you know you can meet kangaroos, wallabies, llamas, goats, ducks and more right on the outskirts of Calgary? Cobb’s Adventure Park has been on my radar for a few years now and I was excited to finally check it out this summer when we were passing through Calgary on the way back from Writing-On-Stone Provincial Park. It was the perfect way to break up the long drive and gave the whole family a chance to stretch our legs, meet some adorable animals, and enjoy some fun on the farm!

Whether you are wanting a fun road trip stop, or looking for something exciting to do on your next stay in Calgary, Cobb’s Adventure Park is worth the stop! On top of several petting zoo areas, we were impressed by the wide selection of play areas, games and interactive activities geared to all ages. In all, there are over 40 different activities to discover in the park and we could have easily spent another couple hours enjoying ourselves in the park.

Some of the top activities for our family included the Fence Maze, Blacklight Mini Golf, Pedal Carts, Giant Hill Slides, and Archery field. For the younger kids, there are several great playground structures, a Bouncy Pit and a Antique Tractor-pulled train ride! In case of hunger pains, you can also find on-site concession stands for a quick meal or cold treat.

During our visit we inadvertently left the best to last, ending our trip around the park at the wallaby petting area. Unlike the other animal pens, this petting area was solidly fenced off, making it that much more exciting once we entered and discovered all the amazing animals waiting for us! On top of around a dozen dozing wallaby’s, we also got to meet an amazing sulcata tortoise, a trouble-making green iguana and some rather fancy looking chickens. My daughter loved petting the soft, gentle wallabies but was less then fond of the friendly chickens that came pecking at our feet!
