Celebrate the Orthodox New Year with a festival that embraces Edmonton’s winter climate. The Deep Freeze Byzantine Winter Festival is two days of family fun, complete with winter activities from a wide array of cultural traditions, including Francophone and Ukrainian.

Enjoy a street hockey festival, an ice kingdom including an ice carving competition, an art show, snowshoeing, horse and wagon rides, a Round Dance, music and entertainment, and, of course, the crowd favourite – the Deep Freezer Races! Time: Saturday 12 pm to 10 pm, Sunday 12 pm to 6 pm (check the website for specifics)
