The Edmonton Islamic Academy offers a comprehensive preschool program available to families of all faiths and backgrounds. Their mission is to offer schooling of the highest quality, interwoven with the values of the Islamic faith, helping students to become respectful, responsible and successful leaders and contributors to society.
The Edmonton Islamic Academy Preschool program is designed to support a well-rounded education, focusing on cognitive, social, emotional and physical development. The school offers morning, afternoon, and full day classes for children aged 3 and 4.
The EIA team is made up of an impressive group of early childhood experts, including eight educators, three speech pathologists and an occupational therapist working alongside a certified teacher to build the program around the needs of each students. The program offers full support for children who have been identified with additional needs including speech and language, as well as occupational therapy, physical therapy or educational psychology. Individual Program Plans (IPPs) are provided for each student in the Program Unit Funding (PUF) program and those with mild/moderate learning needs. Â These programs provide intensive help for each child before entering Grade One.
At Edmonton Islamic Academy, the focus isn’t only on the students. Family Oriented Program Sessions allow children and their families to work together in activities that will support learning and growth away from the classroom. These sessions are carefully designed to offer parents tools that will help them take active roles in ongoing learning.
