Join us for one of the season’s most exciting Edmonton Oil Kings games as the annual Teddy Bear Toss, presented by The Brick, returns to Rogers Place on Sunday, December 7, 2025! Enjoy a full night of WHL hockey and family fun. As part of Family Fun Sunday, you’ll find a Concourse Carnival zone with face painting, bouncy castles, and more.
What exactly is the Teddy Bear Toss? This charitable event encourages fans to bring stuffed animals (in clear plastic bags) to donate in support of 880 CHED Santas Anonymous. When the Oil Kings score their first goal of the game vs. the Prince Albert Raiders, fans will be encouraged to toss their soft plush donations down the stands and onto the ice for collection! It is controlled chaos and hockey camaraderie at its finest. The players even get specially designed Teddy Bear Toss uniforms just for the game.
In 2024, the Edmonton Oil Kings proudly collected 15,458 teddy bears. The current running total from the annual event is a whopping 177,000, and this year they are hoping to reach 200,000. That’s a lot of extra happy faces on Christmas morning!
