This isn’t just summer camp – it’s an expedition that will change your life! Progressive Academy’s Mountain Adventure School offers high school students two weeks of incredible outdoor adventures mixed with hands-on, fast-paced learning opportunities that will offer real life lessons and even future career training!

Mountain Adventure School is described as “part survival camp, part personal challenge and part journey of self discovery”. Campers will tackle epic outdoor adventures, including whitewater canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, rappelling, and even wilderness survival skills. Mixed in are classroom lessons that can offer up to 11 Alberta High School credits, as well as certifications like Standard First Aid, Alberta Waterfront Instructor Certification and Canadian Moving Water Skills Tandem. Participants can also earn camp leadership and guiding certifications.

Camps are facilitated by professional teachers and guides, and set just outside Rocky Mountain House in the picturesque David Thompson Country. Accommodations and meals are included in camp fees, and free bussing is offered to and from Edmonton.

Take the challenge this summer to expand your horizons, learn something new, and go on an adventure that will stay with you for the rest of your life!
