Riverbend Christian Preschool is working toward using “Play, Participation and Possibilities”, Alberta’s early learning framework, as their curriculum guide. The school aims to nurture the whole child, helping them to grow spiritually, socially and emotionally, while also advancing their emerging literacy, numeracy and inquiry skills.

Intellectual development is fostered through a wide variety of activities, games, and projects, as well as through internationally recognized educational tools like the Jolly Phonics program. Creative development is supported through things like processed-based arts and crafts, that let children determine the outcome of their finished project. A high importance is also placed on physical development and active play, including daily outdoor activities, when weather permits.

The teachers at Riverbend Christian Preschool are all accredited experts in the field of early childhood education. Class sizes are limited to ensure children get the attention they need. Children who receive PUF funding through other organizations are accepted into the preschool program. Parents are always welcome in the classroom, but no duty days, fundraising or committee activities are required.

Registration is open for the 2018/2019 school year, in the Monday/Wednesday/Friday afternoon program (12:45-3:15 pm) Children must be 3 by the start of the school year.
