If you are planning a family visit to Fort Edmonton Park, there’s no better deal then the Weekend Brunch at Johnson’s Cafe! Start your day off right with a hearty buffet brunch in the historic Hotel Selkirk and then spend the day exploring everything Fort Edmonton Park has to offer. The mouth-watering menu includes oven-fresh pastries, fresh fruit, and all the breakfast classics like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, eggs benedict and more.

Johnson’s Cafe Weekend Brunch costs $36.23 per adult (12 and over) and $18.11 for youth (Ages 5-11). Kids 4 and under eat free. Prices include the gratuity, but not taxes.

My initial reaction was that it was bit pricey for brunch, but realizing that park admission is included quickly changed my mind:

  • A regular adult admission is $26.20 so you are paying just a little over $10 more to add on a full brunch buffet.
  • For kids aged 5-11, the brunch at $18.11 actually comes in cheaper then the daily park admission of $20.90.
  • Ages 3-4 is the sweet spot with brunch/admission being completely FREE vs having to pay $20.90 admission at the gate.
  • Ages 12-17 end up being the worst value with park admission costing $20.90 and brunch ringing in at $36.23, but the extra $16 to cover brunch still seems worthwhile for the savings you get from other family members – especially if your teen is a big eater!

To further drive the point home, my own family of 4 could take advantage of the family admission pricing at $95.00, or book the brunch with admission for a total of $126.80. $30 to add on brunch seems like a pretty great deal to me!

Weekend Brunch is available on Saturday and Sunday with limited seating available from 10:15 am – 1:45 pm.  Reservations MUST be booked ahead – walk-ups are not available.  Pre-book your brunch reservation online here.
