Enjoy the athleticism and artistry of Shumka on Tour at the Northern Alberta Auditorium on October 7, 2022. The word Shumka means “whirlwind” and perfectly encaptures the energetic and emotional spirit of this Ukrainian Canadian style of dance.
Celebrate Shumka’s legacy of dance in Canada with its two brand new works; Mosquito’s Wedding and Echoes of Hopak. In addition, audience members can look forward to a screening of Shumka’s recent film project – Promised Land – a tribute to the 130th Anniversary of Ukrainian immigration to Canada.
