The Wildlife Festival is returning to Edmonton from March 6 to 8, 2026, in what is sure to be a captivating experience for animal lovers of all ages. This event, which is in partnership with the Calgary non-profit Cobb’s Exotic Animal Rescue (CEAR), will feature a menagerie of rescued animals, including sloths, porcupines, kangaroos, capybaras, and many more fascinating creatures! Visitors will have the opportunity to get up close with these animals, learn about their habitats and their diverse characteristics, plus there are add-on options for holding, feeding and having your photo taken with the animals.
CEAR aims to educate and advocate for exotic animals, and it uses the Wildlife Festival as a platform to achieve this mission across Western Canada. Through the festival, CEAR is able to reach a wide audience, raising awareness about the needs and challenges faced by exotic animals. They offer informative sessions and live demonstrations, allowing attendees to learn about animal care, rescue stories, and why responsible pet ownership matters. CEAR hopes these efforts will encourage involvement and support for their ongoing initiatives. They aspire to one day build an education centre that will serve as a hub for wildlife advocacy and rehabilitation programs, further strengthening their impact.
Held at the Edmonton Expo Centre, the Wildlife Festival offers a variety of interactive exhibits and hands-on educational opportunities that will inspire curiosity and respect for wildlife. In addition, a sensory-friendly Quiet Hour will be available from 10 am to 11 am on Saturday, March 7, offering a calm, welcoming environment for guests who would benefit from a more peaceful experience. Whether you’re a family seeking some adventure or a wildlife enthusiast eager to learn more, you won’t want to miss the Wildlife Festival!
