This Summer, kids can have fun exploring the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village and learning what life was like for early Ukrainian-Canadian settlers in our province. This fun and exciting Historical Children’s Program offers a bit of everything with pyrohy-making (perogy-making), crafts, scavenger hunts, animal interactions, games, and more! Campers aged 6 to 12 can enjoy a full week discovering the village, meeting new friends, and enjoying various hands-on educational and cultural activities. Everyone is welcome!

Ukrainian Village Historical Children's Program The Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village is located just 25 minutes East of Edmonton. This living history museum is a collection of beautifully restored historic buildings, farmyards, and animals in a fun and interactive village setting. You’ll feel like you are stepping right back into history as you meet the friendly interpreters in their historical costumes and make your way through the different homes, churches and stores along the dirt roads.

Everyone is welcome to come be villagers themselves with the choice of 7 different week-long camps in July and August – no Ukrainian background necessary! During these Historical Children’s Programs, campers can experience life as an early Ukrainian Settler while getting to try the different activities, games, foods and historical costuming from the early 1900’s. Days will be a bit of hard work mixed with plenty of fun – just as it was for the early settlers!
