The first feature exhibition at the new Royal Alberta Museum is about to be unveiled. Vikings: Beyond the Legend, on loan from the National Museum of Denmark, will be in Edmonton from April 18, 2019 to October 20, 2019.
It’s the largest touring exhibit of Viking artifacts in the world, and includes 650 items like exotic jewels, swords, art and, amazingly, even three real Viking ships, including the 37 metre Roskilde 6, the longest Viking warship ever found! Visitors will enjoy interactive exhibits, hands-on displays, multimedia shows, and even the chance to try rowing like a Viking!
