A new attraction is company to Edmonton: Whitemud Creek Mining Company! Kids of all ages will love using the mining sluice to sift through bags of sand and discover gems, fossils, and other treasures! What’s a “sluice”? It’s the trough of water you use to wash the rough away to discover your new found treasures! This is one of the newest features at Snow Valley Aerial Park.
This new attraction is named in honour of the former operational coal mining company that operated until 1970 in the same location. This fun, all-ages activity is anticipated to open on June 4, 2021. You’ll find the Whitemud Creek Mining Company next to the Snow Valley Aerial Park tower and it will operate 10 am – 8 pm while the aerial tower is open. Fridays in June it will operate 5 pm – 8 pm.
