It may be colder outdoors, but your kids can still make new friends and stay active indoors at one of three YMCA of Northern Alberta Health and Wellness Centre locations in Edmonton! Whether your children love sports, science, swimming, art, cooking or dance, there’s a program for them at the Y this Winter.
Arts, Culture and Science
Explore science, art, math, language and physical literacy in Y Play and Learn at YMCAs in Edmonton! This class is presented in a play-based, instructor-led environment with a parent or guardian for children 2–3 years, or independently for children 3–5 years.
For 5–12-year-olds, Creative Expressions will help your child discover their artistic side through art, music and theatre games! Alongside peers of similar age, they will do various art activities like painting, sculpting, performing theatre games and expressing themselves through music.
Sports and Recreation
The Y is empowering children’s confidence in a fun, safe and welcoming environment through sports and recreation programs like floor hockey, basketball, volleyball and soccer! Children will hit the ground running and move their bodies in a variety of fun activities and games.
School Break Camps
No school? No problem! For children ages 6–12, YMCA School Break Camps help the next generation of young leaders develop skills, discover their community and build self-confidence through fun and adventure.
Camps run from 8:30am-4:30pm with early drop off between 7:30–8:30am and late pick-up options available from 4:30–5:30pm.
Registration Dates
Public registration opens at ymcanab.ca/register on Tuesday, December 13 and in-person at our Castle Downs Family YMCA, Jamie Platz Family YMCA and William Lutsky Family YMCA locations on Thursday, December 15.
