The Museum is the perfect place to connect and celebrate with fellow Canadians on this special holiday!

9:30 AM – 5:30 PM: Take part in our scavenger hunts, family friendly crafts, explore our exhibitions, a donair photobooth, and more all day!
10:00 AM: Witness a Citizenship Ceremony with new Canadians (open to the public)
11:30 AM: New Canadian Pep Rally – Join in welcoming new Canadians (open to public)
10:00 am – 3:00 PM: Freddy Mujica plays his special brand of Latin Music at the Museum’s entrance
EXPLORE A NEW EXHIBITION eat make share: a taste of immigration
This new interactive exhibition is now open, and explores the connections between food and immigration in Canada through the universal experiences of eating, making and sharing food. Discover the surprising histories of Canadian foods we love and engage with Canada’s food traditions through hands-on activities, including a kids’ kitchen! Become a TV cooking star – kids can dress up, play chef and bake their way to stardom!
Permanent Exhibitions
Explore the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21’s two permanent exhibitions, The Pier 21 Story and The Canadian Immigration Story. While you’re at it, don’t miss the temporary exhibition, #HopeAndHealingCanada by Métis artist Tracey-Mae Chambers.
To add more fun on Canada Day, participate in the Great Canadian cookie hunt – a scavenger hunt in all three exhibitions and score a branded cookie at the end. Fenton-themed crafts, coloring pages, origami alongside a fun interactive chalk art project and fun activities for everyone with Radio Canada in their new shipping container!
