Canadian Parents for French (CPF), Nova Scotia Summer Camps are a great way to make new friends, have lots of fun, and reinforce language skills over the summer months. The camps offer exciting summertime adventures – while totally immersed in the French language.
CPF offers camps in various parts of Nova Scotia, including day camps and sleep-away camps:
Camp Chocolat and Camp du Soleil are week-long day camps for children ages 6 to 10 years. The kids will have a great time learning French through participation in field trips, swimming, arts and crafts, games, and other fun-filled activities.
Camp Frantastique, near Digby, Camp de la Baie, located at Bayside Camp in Sambro Head, and Camp Breton, located in Albert Bridge, are week-long sleep-away camps for children ages 10 to 14 years. Campers will sleep in cabins with an assigned counsellor and will be kept busy with swimming, sports, crafts, games, and archery – all in French. Overnight camps are open to core French and French immersion campers.

Camp Chocolat, Halifax
Ages 6 – 10 (French immersion or students attending a CSAP school)
Location: Shambhala School, 5450 Russell Street, Halifax
Dates: July 6th – 10th | July 13th – 17th
Time: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
Cost: $260.00 + HST/week
Camp du Soleil, Dartmouth
Ages 6 – 10 (French immersion and students attending a CSAP school)
Location: Woodlawn United Church, 54 Woodlawn Road, Dartmouth
Dates: July 20th – 24th | July 27th – 31st
Time: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Cost: $260.00 + HST/week
Early drop-off and late pick-up are available for both camps at an added cost. Please arrange for extended child care before camp begins.
Camp Frantastique, Digby County
Ages 10 – 14 (Core French, French immersion and CSAP students)
Location: 3561 Sissiboo Road, Barton
Dates: August 3rd-7th
Cost: $350 + HST
Camp Breton, Albert Bridge
Ages 10 – 14 (Perfect for students in the CBVRC, SRCE and CSAP)

Dates: August 10th – 14th
Cost: $350 + HST
Camp de la Baie, Sambro Head
Ages 10 – 14 (Core French, French immersion, and CSAP students)
