Canadian Parents for French (CPF), Nova Scotia Summer Camps are a great way to make new friends, have lots of fun, and reinforce language skills over the summer months. The camps also provide an excellent introduction to late French immersion with exciting summertime adventures – while totally immersed in the French language.
CPF offers camps in various parts of Nova Scotia, including day camps and sleep-away camps:
Camp Chocolat and Camp du Soleil are week-long day camps for children ages 6 to 10 years. The kids will have a great time learning French through participation in field trips, swimming, arts and crafts, games, and other fun-filled activities.
Camp Frantastique, near Digby, Camp de la Baie, located at Bayside Camp in Sambro Head, and Camp Breton, located in Albert Bridge, are week long sleep-away camps for children ages 10 to 14 years. Campers will sleep in cabins with an assigned counselor and will be kept busy with swimming, sports, crafts, games, and archery – all while learning French.

Camp Chocolat, Halifax
Ages 6 – 10 (French immersion or students attending a CSAP school)
Location: Shambhala School, 5450 Russell Street, Halifax
Dates: July 7th – 11th | July 14th – 18th
Time: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
Cost: $260.00 + HST/week *reduced rate for short week
Camp du Soleil, Dartmouth
Ages 6 – 10 (French immersion and students attending a CSAP school)
Location: Woodlawn United Church, 54 Woodlawn Road, Dartmouth
Dates: July 21st – 25th | July 28 – August 1st
Time: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Cost: $260.00 + HST/week
Early Drop off and late pick up are available for both camps at an added cost. Just remember to arrange it prior to camp day.
Camp Frantastique, Digby County
Ages 10 – 14 (Core French, French immersion and CSAP students)
Location: 3561 Sissiboo Road, Barton
Dates: August 4th – 8th
Cost: $340 + HST
Camp de la Baie, Sambro Head
Ages 10 – 14 (Core French, French immersion, and CSAP students)
Location: 1503 Ketch Harbour Rd, Sambro Head
Dates: August 18th – 23rd
Cost: $490 + HST
Camp Breton, Albert Bridge
Ages 10 – 14 (Perfect for students in the CBVRC, SRCE and CSAP)
Location: 965 Hillside Road, Albert Bridge
Dates: August 25th – 30th
Cost: $340 + HST
