Canadian Parents for French (CPF), Nova Scotia Summer Camps are a great way to make new friends, have lots of fun, and reinforce language skills over the summer months. The camps also provide an excellent introduction to late French immersion with exciting summertime adventures – while totally immersed in the French language.
CPF offers camps in various parts of Nova Scotia, including day camps and sleep-away camps:
Camp Chocolat and Camp du Soleil are week-long day camps for children ages 6 to 10 years. The kids will have a great time learning French through participation in field trips, swimming, arts and crafts, games, and other fun-filled activities.
Camp Frantastique is a 5-night, sleep-away camp for children ages 10 to 14 years located near Digby. Campers will sleep in cabins with an assigned counselor and will be kept busy with swimming, sports, crafts, games, and archery – all while learning French.
Camp Breton is a 5-night overnight camp that is perfect for students in the CBVRCE , SRCE and CSAP. Open to children ages 10 to 14 years, this camp is located on the beautiful Mira River in Cape Breton and offers swimming, sports, crafts, and games in addition to morning and evening language activities.
Camp de la Baie, located at Bayside Camp in Sambro Head, is a 5-night sleep-away camp. Campers ages 10 to 14 years old, will sleep in cabins and be in groups according to their French abilities. Activities will include swimming, sports, hiking, drama, arts and crafts.

Camp Chocolat, Halifax
Ages 6 – 10 (French immersion and Homeschool* students)

Dates: July 4th – 7th* | July 10th – 14th | July 17th – 21st | July 24th – 28th
Time: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
Cost: $225.00 + HST/week *reduced rate for short week
Camp du Soleil, Dartmouth
Ages 6 – 10 (French immersion and Homeschool* students)
Location: Woodlawn United Church, 54 Woodlawn Road, Dartmouth
Dates: July 31st – August 4th | August 8th – 11th* | August 14th – 18th | August 21st – 25th
Time: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Cost: $225.00 + HST/week
Early Drop off and late pick up are available for both camps at an added cost. Just remember to arrange it prior to camp day.
