The Hali-ditarod Race – Dress Up. Cause Chaos. DO GOOD! This is a spectacle that everyone in Halifax is going to want to see!
A new spin on the famous Alaskan Iditarod Race (but with, in fact, very little resemblance to the Alaskan Idatrod race), the Hali-ditarod Race takes the famous Alaskan race and replaces the dogs with people. The snow gear is replaced by costumes and the sleds are shopping carts. Mush Mush!
It’s a one-of-a-kind fundraising event that incorporates a shopping cart race, costume contest, games, food and fundraising. Everyone is invited to come cheer on the racers and have fun! Donations of $$ and food will be happily accepted on site. Proceeds to Parker Street Food and Furniture Bank.
Join the fun by registering a team or simply show up to cheer on your favourite team! What a great way to celebrate Spring at the Emera Oval, while raising money for a good cause!
