Are your teenagers climbing the walls? Check out Seven Bays Bouldering,  a new downtown Halifax bouldering gym brought to you by the Richer-de la Plante family, who built and now run Allez Up climbing gym in Montreal. Seven Bays Bouldering  is a 6000sq. ft. facility on Gottingen st. that hosts a 120 ft long bouldering wall. Seven Bays will have new boulders every week, a wide selection of holds from around the world, and a ton of volumes to keep the climbing fresh and exciting.  Climbing shoes are required, and are available for rental.
Bouldering is a sport that is ideal for children 14 and older.  However, children under 14 are always welcome at Seven Bays, provided they are accompanied and closely supervised by an adult, with a ratio of 1:1.  Although bouldering is a superb sport for kids and teens, Seven Bays does not  currently have a kids’ climbing program, or plans for one, and does not do birthday parties!
Seven Bays Bouldering believes the sport is  just as much about the people you meet as it is about the climbing itself.  Their licensed café will have plenty of comfortable seating, and will serve great coffee, local draught beer, smoothies and a few tasty treats! A perfect place to share a bite and a beer after a good climbing session!
