Get the low down on the best Corn Mazes & Pumpkin Patches near Halifax!
The Dakeyne Farm Sunflower Maze in Mount Denson, Nova Scotia is open from August 10th, 2019 until mid-September, weather-depending (there will be a post on Facebook or Twitter if the paths are too mucky to walk, or if parking is a problem to to rain and mud). Admission: Adult – $10, Child (3-12) – $5, Under 3 – Free, Season Pass – $50, Kite Rental – $5 (or bring your own).
They doubled the size of their property and added lots of new attractions, and they’ve only raised the admission price by a buck ($13/person, 3 years and under free!). Located just outside of Truro, Riverbreeze Farm Corn maze is open starting September 14th on Saturdays, Sundays & Thanksgiving Monday, until October 27th, 11:30am to 5:00pm, last entry 3:30pm. They have a strawberry u-pick and a fear farm -including 2 haunted mazes!
Noggins’ Corn Maze is open 7 days a week until the end of October. Admission on Monday-Friday is $7 per person (children under 4 are free) including access to the corn mazes, rope mazes, duck races, washer toss games, puzzle games and the barnyard adventure play area. On the weekends it’s $12 per person, including admission to the Haunted House (weekends in October only)! Noggins also has a pumpkin u-pick, opening in mid-September.
Howard Dill’s Farm, near Windsor, grows giant pumpkins, plus many varieties of Halloween pumpkins, summer and winter squash and gourds. During September and October, Dill’s Farm is open with free admission, daily 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, including Thanksgiving and Halloween. Bring your camera!
We’ve heard great things about Dempsey’s. Located in Aylesford, Demspey Corner Orchards has a pumpkin patch, plus lots of other fun farm activities for kids. You can even snuggle a goat, or pick your own potatoes, carrots or beets! They are open every day until Hallowe’en and admission is $2 per person.
Only an hour from Halifax in Port Williams, Gates’ U-pick is open every day in September and October from 9am-6pm. They offer free wagon rides, a great orchard (free all-you-can-eat apples while you’re picking!) and a pumpkin patch.
