Have you ever been to Memory Lane Heritage Village? If not, this summer is a great time to go!
Memory Lane Heritage Village is an award-winning living history museum depicting coastal rural life in Nova Scotia during the 1940s, including life during and after the Second World War. Their regular summer hours resume on June 4th until October 1st, 2022: daily from 9:30 am – 4:00 pm. You can find more details on their website.
Visitors should note that Memory Lane Heritage Village has free-roaming farm animals on-site and does not allow pets within the Village grounds.

June –Â 20th Annual Antique Car Show
Here’s one Dad will love! This Father’s Day, enjoy a wide range of vehicles on display throughout the Heritage Village grounds. There will be special Father’s Day draws and live music in the Clam Factory. Plus, kids can challenge Dad to a Kub Kar race after they have made their own car in the Boatshop. Snacks and a variety of Cookhouse meals will be available on site.

July – Dominion Day and Memory Lane’s 20th Birthday
Dominion Day is a  festive day celebrating the coastal villages of the Eastern Shore. Come see dozens of remote-controlled model boats in action on the Dufferin Pond. Enjoy a free freshly made donut from their vintage Belshaw Donut Robot, then work off the extra calories with some traditional 1940s games and races with the kids, or try panning for gold. July 1st is also Memory Lane Heritage Village’s 20th birthday. Join them for a special celebration!

July – Women’s Heritage Celebration
Join them for their annual celebration of women’s work in the home and community. Visit the homestead to make pickles, knead bread, or taste rhubarb jelly. Kids will love cranking the rollers when they wash laundry. It’s an event for the whole family!

August – The Atlantic Canada Harmonica Festival
The Atlantic Canada Harmonica Festival is the only festival of its kind in Eastern Canada. The festival is a celebration of the harmonica and all who play it, regardless of musical preference or style. Spend the day with musicians who love this unique and versatile instrument. The festival ends with a two-hour showcase concert featuring harmonica players from all musical genres, from the Isle of Skye to the Mississippi Delta.
