Your kids can have an adventure of a lifetime this summer, right here in Saskatoon. Your little adventurers will immerse themselves in imagination and travel through time with the Museum of Antiquities’ Ancient and Medieval Adventures Camps for Kids! Register your little ones for a week-long in-person summer camp with the Museum of Antiquities, University of Saskatchewan! Ages 6 to 10 will explore the ancient and medieval world and go on epic adventures.
While playing games, crafts, lessons and more, your children will meet new friends and come home with stories about their adventures. There are weekly camps for 6 to 7-year-olds and camps for 8 to 10-year-olds. If you have an adventurer who’s been to camps in the past, there are some changes so they’ll have as much fun as they did in previous years and will have new adventures.
Ancient and Medieval Adventure Camps for Kids
Playtime in Ancient Times (Ages 6-7) July 2-5, 2024
Time travel, adventure and fun for your kids while transporting to ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome and Medieval Europe to learn what it was like to be a kid in ancient times. They’ll play like it’s 500 BCE by crafting toys, board games and more.
Magewarts Junior Academy (Ages 6-7) July 15-19, 2024
Campers will journey into the realm of sorcery and enchantments. Find your rightful Magewarts House and learn the secrets of ancient and medieval eras through everyday wizardry.
Fun With Pharaohs (Ages 6-7) July 29-August 2, 2024
Kids can also dress, eat and play like an ancient Egyptian. Kids will hunt for Pharaoh’s treasure, create an Egyptian mummy and more.
Knights, Lords, & Ladies (Ages 8-10) August 12-16, 2024
Your kids will become knights, lords, and ladies of the land. They will vanquish dragons, design marshmallow catapults and explore medieval times through stories, crafts, games and more.
Keeping a Castle (Ages 8-10) July 8-12, 2024
Hark! Hark! Don’t we all dream of living in a castle? Campers will be schooled in the art of castle defence, weapons, fortresses from around the world and so much more! Your kids will learn how to keep their castle through games, crafts and fun activities.
Magewarts Magic & Science (Ages 8-10) August 19-23, 2024
If you have a little one who loves science, introduce them to the secrets of sorcery through the lens of science. Campers will get to do science experiments that are also real-life magic!
Games of the Gods (Ages 8-10) August 6-9, 2024
Campers will love this Olympics extravaganza! They will travel through time and space to explore the games of ancient people and gods.
Magewarts Magical Creatures (Ages 8-10) July 22-26, 2024
Kids will embark on a journey of knowledge and sorcery. They will learn the mysteries of magical creatures.
Registration for the epic adventure summer camps offered by the University of Saskatchewan’s Museum of Antiquities is now open. Hurry to sign up your child before this fun adventure disappears into the past. Before and after care are included in the cost of registration and run from 8-9 am and 3:30-5 pm.
