Our first Colosseum Presents experience was so fun.  Colosseum Presents – A Celebration of Cinema has classic movies all year long at both the Broadway Theatre and the Roxy Theatre. We’ve been sharing about the movies you can look forward to on our event calendar, but my schedule hasn’t aligned to make it to a movie. I’d say it’s more than just a movie, though. It’s an event. We went at the end of March, and my son loved both the experience and the chance to see a classic movie on the big screen. The classic movie we went to was made when I was a child, so I guess that makes me classic as well.

Our Colosseum Presents Experience

Quack Quack Quack. The movie we saw is loved by all generations. A young Joshua Jackson won all of our hearts in the 1992 film, The Mighty Ducks. The start of the movie had my son wondering why all the kids were running around with no parents in sight, and I had to explain that we did that more back in the day. He was soon as engrossed as all the other kids (and parents) in the theatre. Honestly, my favourite part was the freedom for the kids in the theatre to make noise, be kids, and repeat the lines along with the movie. We could tell which kids had already seen it.

Colosseum Presents different movies for all ages. Some months, you’ll find more for the adults and teens, and other months,  you’ll find classics for your kids. They had hockey-themed door prizes at this one, and they handed them out before the movie started. Also, you can’t say no to movie popcorn and drinks. It’s a nice experience getting to take your kids to a movie that you once saw in a theatre years ago. We are looking forward to the next one!
