It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Every year in the bridge city, the busy December arrives bringing with it snow, all-things Christmas and, of course, a whole host of family-friendly events! From craft fairs to concerts, to Christmas lights we’ve got a December in Saskatoon Event Guide for you.

What’s Happening this December in Saskatoon

December 1-2: Welcome the season with a concert. “Sing Choirs of Angels” with the Saskatoon Children’s Choir will be at Knox United Church.

December 1-24: If you’re out and about shopping, check out the Wall of Wishes at Midtown Mall. ‘Tis the Season of giving and Midtown will be collecting donations at the Wall of Wishes. There will be 5 different charities each week from their wish lists of most needed items. You can select a charity and item from the options posted on the wall. All you have to do is add one or two of the wish list items to your shopping list and drop the donations into the receptacles in the wall.

December 3: If you missed the parade in Saskatoon, you can catch the Warman’s Santa Claus Parade!

December 4The First Monday is with A New Saskatchewan Play. Enjoy a new play once a month with free admission at Persephone Theatre.

December 5: Enjoy some Christmas music at the Noon Festival of Carols and hear children’s choirs from around Saskatoon.

December 5TOOT TOOT! The CP Holiday Train is back in Saskatchewan. The fun will be from 8:45 p.m. – 9:15 p.m. at CPKC railway overpass on 7th Avenue N (corner of Warburton and 7th Avenue N)

December 7-23: If you want to do some local shopping this season, make sure to check out The Studio at Midtown. There is always a chance to learn something new at The Studio. Our community has so many hidden gems, and not only can you discover them at other events but you can share your own. This season will give you lots of chances to buy local with markets and bazaars.

December 15-23: For two weekends (and a couple week days), join Wide Open Theatre’s Holiday Hullaballoo! You won’t want to miss the fun.

December 16-17: Meet Santa at the Farmer’s Market. He’s there for two days to celebrate Christmas while you buy local!

December 1-24: Have you seen Santa yet? We’ve got a list of Where to Find Santa in Saskatoon This Christmas Season!

December 1-Jan 7: Eaton’s Once Upon A Christmas Exhibit at the WDM is always sure to bring a smile to your kid’s faces. It’s open during museum hours.

December 1- Jan 7: If you’ve not seen the Enchanted Forest at the Saskatoon Forestry Farm and Zoo, make sure you drive through. It’ll bring smiles to the adult’s faces and squeals of delight to the little ones.

December 1-30: Don’t miss out on A MILLION Twinkling Lights at Glow Gardens Saskatoon. Find some Christmas magic at Glow Gardens.
