Ready to Fringe? Saskatoon’s hottest summer theatre festival is fast approaching, and if you’ve ever been to the Saskatoon Fringe Festival, you’ll know it’s about SO much more than theatre! Celebrate the arts with the 25th Street Theatre’s Saskatoon Fringe as well as everything weird and wonderful, whether you’re catching a theatre show, sampling a delicious new flavour from an on-site food truck, watching a street performer or perusing the wares of a trendy vendor. Kids and adults will find something to do around every corner and spend the day discovering the joy in our quirky world. Even better, Broadway Days will be on from August 1 to 3, so you’ll have even more to look forward to.
What Can I Do at the Saskatoon Fringe Festival?
Outdoor Fringe
The Outdoor Fringe will keep you busy during your visit. The outdoor performances range from musicians to acrobats and everything in between. Buskers come from all over the world, and any support from you is their income for the week. While watching the performances, don’t forget to try out some food from the amazing food trucks! Who doesn’t love a food truck? My son wants to try something different every year. The other thing we love is the artisan markets. Shop for jewelry, clothes, paintings, and so much more.
Fringe Theatre
You can purchase tickets online, at the Ticket Office at the Fringe or at the door for the shows. They’re all available to check out ahead of time online, and each show has a maximum runtime of 60 minutes. The shows this year include family-friendly options, local artists and international artists. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you may find some that you want to watch a second time! Thanks to the support of SIGA, kids theatre tickets are subsidized, and youth under 12 can see shows for less money.
What Can Kids Do At the Saskatoon Fringe?
The Outdoor Fringe includes games for kids both big and small. You can buy tickets at the sales office, and let your kids spend some time trying out the festival games. The more they play, the more chance they can win fun prizes. Children aged 5 to 12 will also enjoy the free fairytale-themed theatre workshop at Collaboration Station.
🎈 On July 30th and August 6th, Balloon Princess YXE will be twisting balloons.
👑On August 1st and 2nd, there will be Princess Story time hosted by Enchanted Garden Character Company.

🎉On August 7th, kids can bounce and play on a 40′ inflatable challenge course from The Backyard.
