It’s almost the end of January and my son and I FINALLY made it to the Winter City Snow Glow on the Saskatchewan. Brought to us by Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan, J.J. Neufeld has created gorgeous lighting designs through their site. We stopped by during the night to check it out. It’s the second year they’ve done it and we loved it last year.

Once again, we were amazed by the beautiful lights. That area is already gorgeous but when you add in the light displays, it is simply breathtaking. We decided to go on our way home from swimming last week. The weather had warmed up just enough for us to enjoy our quick outdoor fun. The snow and the lights did not disappoint.

We made sure to climb to the top because that view is the best part. My son was hoping for a snow slide to come back down but was just as excited to jump down the steps. He was ready to go back to the car and warm up but was also loving the lights. He kept saying it was time to go and then would spot something else.

As always, we loved our peaceful visit to the Winter City Snow Glow. We hope to make it back for a morning visit sometime soon. It’s such a wonderful way to spend some dark hours in Saskatoon. It definitely lights up the dark.

The best part about Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan’s Winter City Snow Glow is that the design changes weekly. Every week, you can see a new and beautiful light display. Don’t forget to share your Snow Glow photos with the hashtag: WinterCitySnowGlow if you’re sharing on Social Media. Winter City Snow Glow designs are visible from 6 am through sunrise and again from sunset to 11 pm from Tuesday through Sunday each week.

If you’re looking for a way to get out of the winter blues, stop by and change up your colours! We had winter pinks and purples and it made us incredibly happy.
