Choo Choo! ‘POP’ on board Thomas the Tank Engine at The Railway Museum of BC! If you haven’t been to this ‘pop’-ular event before, you’ll be blown away spending A Day Out With Thomas. While trains are the main event, this bubble-themed bonanza is sure to bring squeals of glee and pure delight to all ages.
This day is packed full of fun and interactive activities. Begin with a trip on your favourite tank engine as Thomas rolls into the station. Sit comfortably inside the train and take a 20-25 minute trip. With 7 different times available for train rides, there is plenty of flexibility to find a time that is right for your family. Visit with Sir Topham Hatt as you depart and make sure to snap a quick picture in front of Thomas to take home and cherish. Then, the fun activities continue! Everywhere you turn are performers, games, bouncy castles, colouring stations and activities to ensure a memorable and family-friendly day out.
A Day Out with Thomas includes:
- 20-25 minute train ride with Thomas the Tank Engine
- Meet Sir Topham Hatt
- A bubble zone complete with bubble machine and other soapy fun
- Bouncy castle
- Play Pod corner with wooden play tables, Thomas Train tables, and MegaBloks

There are food vendors on-site as well as many picnic spots. Bring your lunch or grab a bite and enjoy gazing over the massive train yard and all the Thomas enthusiasts. The mini-train will be in operation offering rides to visitors around the 3km track that goes around the park perimeter for $5 each.
Tips to Make Your Day a Success:
- arrive no later than 45 minutes before your scheduled train departure. Trains begin boarding 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
- no smoking is permitted except in a designated fenced outdoor area
- no pets are allowed on-site with the exception of service and support animals
- the event runs rain or shine so please dress accordingly
- all children 1 and over require a ticket
- please wear appropriate footwear – the majority of the ground is gravel.
- parking is $5 per vehicle (cash only)
