Looking for fun, free things to do with kids in the Lower Mainland? ArtStarts offers free arts-based events for kids and families each month—in both Vancouver and New Westminster. Join some of the best artists working with young people for performances and workshops that explore a wide range of cultures and artistic disciplines. Each 45-minute workshop takes place twice, at 11am and 1pm. Please arrive a little early as this is a popular program. Ideal for ages 8 and under, but all are welcome. Free! Donations welcome.

ArtStarts is excited to announce our return to River Market in New Westminster! For the first time in two years, come to the River Market for a FREE, family-oriented musical performance by Laura Koch. Laura is an award-winning performer, musician and songwriter, and is best known for her leading of the folk-pop band, The Kwerks. She also created and runs an elementary school songwriting program called Snap-Tunes, in which she shares her love of music with children, inspiring a new generation of artists. Performances will start at 11 AM and 1 PM and will be ideal for ages 8 and under, though all ages and families are encouraged to attend! Seating capacity is limited and will be first-come, first-served.
