Learning to ride a horse is a dream of most kids. The experience seems equally unique and freeing. Summer camps offer the perfect opportunity to try a new experience and discover, perhaps, an as yet unknown passion.

A&T Equestrian believes in the highest standards of care for both their horses and their facilities. A&T Equestrian, specialists in English riding and three-day eventing (dressage, cross-country, and showjumping), opened its doors to training local riders in 1999. With 20+ years of experience, they are experts at teaching kids to ride and care for horses.

A&T Equestrian offers a wide range of horseback riding camps: full-day, half-day, advanced, and preschool. Not only will your child get the thrill of learning how to ride a horse, but the 5-day camps will also introduce them to the great responsibilities that come with riding horses. Lessons on grooming, horse safety, and feeding the horses will be incorporated into the camps.

 

No matter the weather, the kids will be on horseback. Please be sure to dress your child appropriately throughout the week.

In order to make sure your A&T Equestrian Summer Camp is successful, please bring the following:

  • water bottle
  • stretchy pants for riding
  • boots with a 1″ heel
  • a helmet (a bike helmet is acceptable)
  • snacks
  • any medication (e.g. EpiPens)
  • rainy day gear, if necessary (rain jacket, gloves, change of clothes)

A&T Equestrian offers programs customized based on experience. The Advanced Camp, which is offered as a week-long half-day camp, includes one hour of riding per day which will focus on jumping and dressage skills. The Full Day Camp is for kids aged 7+ who are beginners or brand new riders. Each day the kids will be riding for at least an hour. The Half-Day Camp is also for kids aged 7+ who are beginners or brand new riders but are looking for a shorter camp-day experience. The Preschool Camp is for kids aged 3-6 years and includes parent or caregiver participation. The 1.5-hour-long camp includes activities, games, and education along with daily riding.
