There’s plenty of excitement brewing for a spooktacular family-friendly Halloween event that mixes physical exercise and a howling good time! Whether you’re a family of avid athletes or first-time runners, there’s something for everyone at the Big Halloween Run! Brought to you in partnership with Striderz Run Club, the Big Halloween Run is one of Vancouver’s most faBOOlously fun holiday events.
Join a 1km or 5km themed-run along the picturesque Seawall beginning in Olympic Village. Don your gourd-ous costumes and be prepared to run or walk in this inclusive, non-timed event. The route is suitable for strollers, and leashed dogs are welcome, making this an ideal family event to take in the nighttime lights along the water with the ghouls and goblins in your community. In addition, families participating in the event can have their race bib customized with their special “Halloween Name,” and will enjoy a special finishers’ souvenir at the end of the run. Prizes will also be awarded for numerous categories, so stay tuned!
Join the party at the end of the Big Halloween Run with live music, community vendors, and a chance to win incredible door prizes! Plus, all finishers will receive a special sweet treat at the end! Partial proceeds from the event also go to support Covenant House Vancouver, which supports youth experiencing homelessness.
