Despite the constant drizzle, Spring Break is just around the corner and that means it is time to sign up for Spring Break camps. Just because school stops for two weeks doesn’t mean your little one needs to stop learning, exploring and indulging their curiosity. Registration for the Bricks 4 Kidz Spring Break Camps is now open. The camps are popular; you will want to sign up quickly!

LEGO® is one of the few “toys” that transcends gender and age. The bright colourful bricks appeal to everyone; they offer endless creativity, imagination and exploration. The Bricks 4 Kidz program takes a mountain of LEGO® and creates a fun environment of both tactile and cerebral learning. An added benefit of the Bricks 4 Kidz camps are the proprietary kits and professional model plans which are not generally available to the public; these camps have access to kits no other LEGO® camp can match.

The Spring Break camps (geared for kids aged 5 – 13 years) explore all five STEAM concepts: science, technology, engineering, arts and math. Not only are the kids developing academic skills, they are also working on their social skills (patience, teamwork, and communication). The kids must follow directions and solve problems all while honing their gross and fine-motor skills.  The Bricks 4 Kidz camps have numerous activity stations which include traditional bricks, motorized technic models, LEGO® art mosaics, creative free play and themed games and challenges.

This year the Bricks 4 Kidz team has launched new themes for their Spring Break camps! Here are three we think are super appealing:

Jurassic Brick Land:  Behold, dinosaurs ahead! Imagine a Spring Break filled with brontosaurus, velociraptor, T-Rex and more. Not only will the kids build with LEGO® they will also learn fascinating facts of the extinct animals which roamed the Earth millions of years ago. Each day your child will get to bring home a small project.

Brick Critters – The Secret Life: Peak into the mysterious world of animals. Two adorable creatures – Max the dog and Snowball the rabbit – lead the camp participants through a fun adventure which even heads under the ocean. You might just meet Dory and a few other aquatic-movie friends. Your child will have fun building buzzing bees, fluttering butterflies and more. Each day your child will bring home a small project.

Extreme Expedition: Explore the most extreme geographic challenges the world has to offer. During this camp, you child will explore the alps, drive great distances in model cars and overcome obstacles around the world. There are many global challenges which will be addressed – and solved – in this camp. Each day your child will bring home a small project.

**Not every Bricks 4 Kidz store may offer the specific camps listed above. Be sure to visit the store closest to you for an exact listing of the camps they are offering for Spring Break 2016.
