Lace up your skates for a fun family activity! You don’t have to be a figure skating professional to enjoy some time on the ice with your family. The holidays are the perfect time to head to the ice arena for a fun, festive activity. Santa will be making an appearance at many of the festive skates below.

Please note that not all of these skates feature Santa, some have hot chocolate, some have the Grinch, and some have crafts and clowns. Regardless, they are special holiday skates packed with loads of holiday fun.

The Robson Square Ice Rink is located in the very heart of downtown, next to the Vancouver Art Gallery and Robson Street shopping. The clear dome over the top protects skaters from inclement weather while still allowing you to feel the cool breeze and imagine an open-air skating rink. It’s also one of the few places open on Christmas Day!
