Humans are going back to the Moon and will be staying there for long-term visits.

Join the HR MacMillan Space Centre for a fun evening out and enjoy a planetarium show, a special guest lecture, and some demonstrations, and take a closer look at the proposed Lunar Gateway project. If you can’t make it in person connect through Zoom to watch the lecture portion of the evening (from 8pm-9pm).

The Lunar Gateway is going to be a small space station that will orbit the Moon and serve as a communication hub, science laboratory, living quarters for astronauts who will explore the Moon’s south pole, and be a staging point for future deep space exploration. The space station will be developed by NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA).

Tickets to attend in person are $14+ taxes and fees, and on Zoom $8+ taxes and fees.

This is event is recommended for attendees ages 13+.

There are 2 ways to participate:
1) Attend in-person (from 6pm-9pm) and come to the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre for the presentation. Reserve your seat on Eventbrite, capacity is limited.
2) Zoom – watch the lecture portion of the event virtually (from 8pm-9pm). An email will be sent from the Eventbrite platform with a link to access the live stream before the lecture starts on January 20th. Please note, Eventbrite tickets sales will end at 5pm on January 20th.
