Whether you’re a big city girl who found her very own small-town boy, or you are hoping to get Hallmark-worthy family photos taken, Merry & Bright at Martini Town has the festive atmosphere to bring your holiday dreams to life! It’s an outdoor extravaganza where your kids can run through the streets of an iconic movie set, twirl under falling snow, and experience movie magic in their own backyard.
Once a year, Langley’s own exterior film backlot is transformed by a team of skilled industry crew into a magical winter wonderland open to the public. Martini Town, with its quaint facades, is the backdrop for so many scenes in our favourite movies, and this once-a-year experience for families to walk the same streets as their favourite characters is a special opportunity. Step into movie magic and explore the winter wonderland that is not only decked out for the holidays but also offers classic festive entertainment for all ages.
Begin by grabbing a hot cup of cocoa or seasonal beverages from Martini Cafe and then stroll along the meticulously curated streets to marvel at the nostalgic window displays. Snap photos as you sit on the steps of NYC-themed Brownstone buildings and pause underneath glowing street lamps and falling snow. Then, join in the caroling or sway to the music as you listen to roaming entertainment provided by Victorian carolers, the vintage-style vocal group The Dimes, and local musicians. Keep your eyes peeled for The Green Christmas Grouch and Ice Princess, who make their debut at Merry & Bright this holiday season.
Meet with your family and friends in the beautifully lit and decorated Town Square to cozy up and watch more live entertainment, and then meet with the true star of the holidays: Santa! The big man in red will visit nightly right up until December 23rd to hear holiday dreams and wishes from visitors of all ages. Snap a photo with Santa situated in the picturesque Town Square and then wander through the vendor market to pick up some unique holiday finds perfect for gifting to your loved ones. Cap off your evening with delicious food and treats provided by Texas Smoke BBQ, Mini Donuts, Urban Wood Fired Pizza, Tacosaurus, Bar Down Bakery, and Sticky’s Candy.
Experience the magic of the holidays with cozy vibes, movie magic, and community connection. A portion of all proceeds from Merry & Bright will be donated to the Langley Food Bank.
